Sisko , a poundie from Yorkshire  who spent five months in emergency boarding following his time in the pound has gone to a great forever home in St Austell with Tom and Kim.  Thank you to all who supported this dog and helped keep him alive and a big thank you to his rehomers for given him security for life.

A happy tale to start the year as Ellie May goes home with her ex-owner. I knew Ellie's ex-owner was heartbroken to lose her and so I never had the heart to move her along. When the time was right Ellie was able to go home with her real Mum. A lovely happy ending and great to have her here for eight months - she's a real special edition.

The most successful rehoming story of the year for has got to be that of Cassie below. Here she is complete with Christmas stocking. Who would have thought this end was possible for 2009? This poor dog had been in kennels with absolutely no stimulation for over a year. It took over an hour for an Animal Welfare worker to get her out of the kennels as she was so afraid of men - she had obviously been cruelly treated by men in the past. It appeared she had also been trained to kill cats as she was a definite cat hater. After months in foster she learned to build up trust has now got a forever home - with - would you believe it?  - a man whom she loves and cats!!!

Just shows what love and patience can do. I think whatever Cassie gets in her stocking she has got everything she has ever wanted.

I would like to thank Andy as taking on Cassie as his forever pal and also offer enormous thanks to Penny for taking in this lovely girl and giving her the time and the chance she deserved. Bless you both.

Amy, ex-owner visiting her former dogs. Ellie is now a permanent dog at Bully Befrienders and Toby is going to another home.

Posh Puss Rescue and Bully Befrienders is keen to help ex owners cope with loss of their beloved pets where necessary. I am happy for ex-owners to visit permanent residents. Here is Amy who recently rehomed Ice the white, deaf English Bull Terrier and the staffy pup below with me. Amy was pleased to visit Ice (who I call `Ellie May`) and take her and Daisy Lou, one of my English Bulls for a walk. She was also pleased to see Toby her ex-pup who was rehomed next door and is doing well.  These photos show them all looking happy together and serve to make what I try to do worthwhile.

15th August: Updates received today of Blackjack the staffy cross labrador from the pound in Camarthen and Midge (now Ffi) from a pound in Kent.  These dogs now enjoy each other's company on regular exercise trips - pictured below at St Michael's Mount, Marazion.  Thank you Finella for this update. Love the monochrome shot - really striking and I see Blackjack is almost labrador in size!

11th Ausgust 2009. Went to visit Harvey who was rehomed last year to Mary below. Harvey was a private rehoming. His ex-mumloved him but whilst she was out at work all day Harvey was bored and chewed things. Harvey spent a few weeks here and then was rehomed in Porthleven to Mary. He is obviously totally happy and the two are very well known in the village where they are constantly seen out walking. Harvey is a regular recipient of biscuit treats from the locals. Harvey is so good at Mary's that he doesn't even sneak a chew at her cuddly toy collection. Good Boy!

 16 July 2009
Now this is how we should perceive the staffy - here's the former `Duchess`, now `Beanie` with Oska in her new forever home in Newlyn, Cornwall.  Thank you to Nancy (and Murphy!) for inviting this lively young girl into her family and supporting Bully Befrienders and thank you to Oska for choosing her a lovely new name. So nice to know this little dog has finally got the permanence she needs and Oska has got another friend. As he quite wisely commented `Two friends are better than one` so come on all you bully fans with only one staffy - share a little of Oska's philosophy on life and help empty the pounds.

A big thank you also to Penny and Kensa for fostering Beanie.

6 July: went to visit Freckles today in Truro - I get the feeling
he was pleased to see me!

No wonder this dog is happy - freed from the pound along with his former companion there, Jasper below,  enjoying four walks a day and never without `Dad` - thanks ken for taking on this lovely pair from Kent and wiping away all those bad memories.

Jasper is also doing really well.
(Jasper is living with Freckles in Truro and the pair are constantly racing each other and having fun)
 .
Rory (formerly `Troy`) with Kirsty.  Troy came from a pound in Wales and now has his own patch in Porthleven.
Blackjack from Wales is now living in Pendeen. He has great fun with his new family and I have been told he's grown to full labrador size - we'd love to see a photo.
Midge is now called `Effie` and lives in Penzance. She is also doing really well and gets on well with Blackjack above - the two are often exercised together.

Minnie, ex poundie from Cambridge waiting to go
off to her new forever home. Beautiful girl, reminds
me of a little china dog!
