At Posh Puss Rescue there are permanent residents as well as occasional cats for rehoming. Some of these are featured below. Elderly, vulnerable or excessively shy cats are often retained here when rehoming them would cause them further and unjustifiable upheaval. Similarly, sickly cats or cats with behavioural issues (such as toilet problems) are often not selected for rehoming and so live out their lives here as members of the Posh Puss Possy.
If a cat is overlooked for some months it can become totally settled which makes it difficult to unsettle it again. Posh Puss prefers to move cats to new homes as quickly as possible in order to minimise disruption for the cat and is now starting work on a database of potential rehomers in order to achieve that objective.
We are delighted with offers of sponsorship for permanent possy members for whom feeding and veterinary costs are massive. Sponsoring a cat by the payment of a regular standing order can make a real difference to the number of vulnerable cats that can be helped. Details for donations and standing orders are listed on the `About Us` as well as the `Donations` page. Meanwhile, please enjoy meeting some of the current residents as well as some of the others who have spent time here during their crisis period.
