PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE BASED IN PORTHLEVEN, CORNWALL. WHERE POSSIBLE WE PREFER TO REHOME IN CORNWALL OR DEVON. HOWEVER OTHER POSSIBILITIES ARE NOT RULED OUT. IF YOU ARE WANTING TO REHOME A POSH PUSS CAT AND ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LONGER JOURNEY TO COLLECT PLEASE OBSERVE THE POINTS BELOW:
1. Homechecking will be carried out by a third party. This is most often a volunteer from `Rescue Helper's Unite`. (Link on `Useful Links` page).
2. You must contract to keep in touch about the progress of the cat
3. Cats must be collected by rehomers in person and by appointment. I do not transport cats.
4. A contract is signable that the cat remains with the adoptee for life. In the event that the adoptee can no longer care for the cat s/he MUST be returned to Posh Puss Rescue and not rehomed elsewhere. Rehomers contract to keep in touch about the progress of the cat as Posh Puss acts as an intermediary to help ex-owners with loss.
POSH PUSS CATS INVOLVE A DONATION WHICH FURTHERS MY RESCUE WORK. DONATIONS VARY ACCORDING TO THE AGE AND PROGNOSIS OF THE CAT. THESE RANGE FROM £35 TO £125. I DO NOT TAKE A WAGE FOR MY ANIMAL RESCUE WORK. ALL FUNDING GOES STRAIGHT TO THE ANIMALS THEMSELVES. I DO NOT PAY ANYONE WHO HELPS ME A WAGE. DONATIONS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE SHOULD YOU WISH TO RETURN A CAT SO IF A CAT IS DESCRIBED AS HAVING A BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEM PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THAT CAT IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DEAL WITH SUCH A PROBLEM. I LIKE TO KEEP UPHEAVAL OF CATS TO A MINIMUM.
