`Do you have lots of dogs?`
`No, there are only a few dogs available at a time. There are not large kennels but we are all kept in `homely environments`. This means we get two walks a day, great meals and a seat in front of the tele whilst we are here. I approve of this arrangement as there is always time for me to have a belly tickle and a bone all to myself.
`Do you rehome with children?`
`Usually we can go to families with children over eight but it all depends on who we are and what is best for us. `
`Do you have a neutering policy?`
`Yes, if you stay here for long you are sure to get that special veterinary appointment. I should know - I had mine last Thursday!`
`What do we do if we see a dog we would like to rehome?`
`You contact Jan who looks after us and she will talk to you in more detail about us and our good and bad points. For example, with me I am a great all round dog in every way but the one thing I hate is sharing my travel crate with anyone. Jan will tell you all these things and she would want to hear about where you live and how we would fit in with your life.
If your home sounds like it would be a good one for us to live in then you would have your homecheck done. After this you could come and meet us. If you had another dog already you would have to bring that to make sure we got along just fine. We have been through hard times and we need our lives to be safe and secure from now on so we only want the absolute best.
When we go to our new homes a contract must be signed to say we will live there all our lives and not be moved on and also Jan needs regular updates and photos of us as she misses us all so much when we go`
`How much of a donation do we pay for a dog from Bully Befrienders?`
`
Donations are variable depending on how much has been spent on us and to get us here. Jan is not interested in making a profit but in getting us the greatest homes she can but she has to cover what we cost to keep the rescue going and help save more of my friends in crisis. When she asks for a figure it will be a minimum one so please try to add a bit on so all my chums can get extra nice nosh, comfy duvets, toys and bones as we have been through the mill and need loving!`
